THE GREAT WORLD CIRCUS, the one where we live, where our freedoms and our identity are destroyed, where control and domestication are sought, and where what is essential—life, freedoms, justice, and truth—disappears. This is where my work begins, as a political, social, and human statement, about all those things I laugh at and worry about, the gossip and back-and-forth, the popular and everyday, the absurd, everything I have grown up with, my memories, the neighborhood, my town, my family, my friends, those who come and go, my day-to-day life, what I have learned, what I hope for. I hope you like it and enjoy it as much as I did creating it, and if not, that at least it has drawn from you some gesture, expression, or feeling, because only that will make EVERYTHING worthwhile.
